Full-Time Instructor

Job Description:

The Full-Time Instructor is a full-time permanent position that assists in the development and maintenance of the curriculum owned by EFA. Additionally, the instructor delivers EFA courses to foster meaningful student learning experiences.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Teaching and delivering EFA courses and programs that fosters meaningful student learning experiences
  • Assisting in creating, improving and delivering a stellar “Eleven Fifty Academy” student experience
  • Assisting in the onboarding of new instructors, teaching assistants and instructional staff members
  • Collaborating with adjunct instructors and leaders to align classes with the learning, apprenticeship and other Eleven Fifty Academy programs
  • Creating and developing new curriculum, course materials, and programs
  • Maintaining and enhancing existing curriculum, course materials, and programs
  • Fostering relationships with strategic partners, industry leaders, class sponsors, and potential student employers to contribute the coding ecosystem
  • Attending and participating in industry board advisory council and committees
  • Serving as an advocacy for Eleven Fifty Academy programs and students
  • Performing administrative tasks like responding to student inquiries and preparing needed materials for classes or programs
  • Staying abreast of the latest training concepts and technology innovations.

Minimal Requirements

  • Solid coding experience and knowledge of .Net, JavaScript, or Python is required. Coding experience in more than one of the following preferred: .NET, Java, Android, Swift, UI/UX, DevOps, and/or iOS. Teaching experience a plus.
  • Basic Microsoft Office and Outlook skills
