Outreach Team Focused On Spreading the Power of Coding
The Eleven Fifty Outreach Team is focused on spreading the power of coding throughout Indiana. In 2016, through a Skill UP grant from the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, the Outreach team traveled around the state spreading the knowledge and power that coding skills can provide individuals and communities. There is a growing skills gap in the technology sector that Eleven Fifty and the Outreach Team is focused on filling. Specifically, the Outreach Team worked with populations that had no access or knowledge of what coding can mean to someone’s future. The goal was to inspire students to pursue a computer programming education and the program reached over 23,000 students.
