Part-Time Coding Courses

Can you do a coding bootcamp while working full time?

The part-time course options at Eleven Fifty allow students to work full-time while learning how to code. The part-time commitment includes online seminars two evenings per week and one Saturday per month, so you can keep your day job and family commitments while learning to become a programmer.

Are coding bootcamps worth it?

If you’re looking to change careers, an online coding bootcamp is a great way to learn a new skill without a major time commitment. The coding bootcamps are designed to help new coders learn how to create websites or software programs using common programming languages such as HTML and CSS. As a bonus, Eleven Fifty’s Career Services team will help students connect with employers so you can start your new career in computer science soon after completing the coding program.

Are coding bootcamps/courses for beginners?

All Eleven Fifty courses are appropriate for beginners. If you’re a complete newcomer to coding, it may help to attend the Free Intro to Coding course to learn about what you can expect in the web and software development bootcamp immersives.

What is the benefit of taking part-time courses vs full-time?

Many students appreciate the part-time course option because it allows them to work their current jobs while attending the bootcamp. The part-time bootcamps are spread over six months and cover the same material as the full-time programs.

What coding courses are available part-time?

Eleven Fifty Academy offers both software development and web development as part-time courses. The coding bootcamp courses require a commitment of two evenings per week and one Saturday per month over the 24-week immersive.

Part-Time Web Development Courses

Are there beginner web development classes available?

All web development courses at Eleven Fifty are suitable for beginners. But if you want to dip your toes in before you apply, you can attend the Free Intro to Coding class or contact admissions to get program info and learn more. There will also be some brief course tutorials to review prior to starting the bootcamp.

What part-time web development courses does Eleven Fifty?

Eleven Fifty offers a part-time web development course lasting 24 weeks. Students attend online seminars every Tuesday and Thursday evening, plus one Saturday per month. All classes are being held online until further notice. Normally, we hold courses at our Indianapolis and Fishers campuses. For now, it’s a virtual classroom experience.

The coding bootcamp classes cover programming languages such as HTML, CSS, Java, and Python, which helps graduates land jobs as developers and programmers soon after completing the program. Students will learn full-stack web development in this part-time program, building on each skill set throughout the six-month program and career training.

What is web development?

Web development is the branch of computer science involved in creating websites and web applications. Students enrolled in the web development course will learn programming languages including HTML, CSS, Java, and Python. Part-Time Software Development Courses

What part-time software development courses does Eleven Fifty offer?

Eleven Fifty’s part-time software development course is 24 weeks and covers the same in-depth material as the full-time course. What is software development?

The software development course with Eleven Fifty is suitable for beginners without previous programming skills. An interest in computer science and coding is essential, but new coders don’t need prior experience to join either our part- or full-time courses.

The first several weeks of the software development online course will serve as an introduction to programming languages and Microsoft .NET. Students will learn new skills such as how to design algorithms, develop front-end and back-end frameworks, and create web pages using HTML and CSS.

Part-Time Cybersecurity Courses

What part-time cybersecurity courses does Eleven Fifty offer?

Eleven Fifty offers a part-time cybersecurity course that lasts 24 weeks, requiring students to commit to two weekday evening (Tuesday and Thursday) seminars per week and one Saturday per month. The cybersecurity course takes a deep dive into the field of information security, helping establish foundational skills and allowing students to conduct real-world projects and practice cybersecurity tactics in the cyber range.

You might be asking yourself, is cybersecurity bootcamp worth it? The information security job market is growing by leaps and bounds, meaning the market demand is high. Almost a quarter of entry-level cybersecurity analyst jobs don’t require a degree, meaning the cybersecurity bootcamp certification will be sufficient as your highest level of education to help you land a job after completing the program.

Are there beginner cybersecurity classes available?

The cybersecurity bootcamp at Eleven Fifty is appropriate for complete beginners: the first five weeks of the program are all about building a foundational skill set, which helps students work toward the CompTIA Network+ certification.

Cybersecurity refers to both network and information security systems that protect individuals and organizations. A cybersecurity professional is responsible for preventing cyberattacks, including building firewalls to fend off malware attacks, creating security plans, and monitoring any suspicious activity.

Part-Time UX/UI Design Courses

Are there beginner UX/UI classes available?

Eleven Fifty’s UX/UI courses are beginner-friendly, but some knowledge of coding is ideal for prospective students. If you’re interested in UI Design, having a working knowledge of common prototyping platforms is necessary.

What UX/UI courses does Eleven Fifty offer?

The UX/UI course at Eleven Fifty is a flex course, meaning students can go at their own pace throughout the 8-week program. Students should expect 15-25 hours per week of course work learning foundational skills, completing projects, and building a portfolio. There will be weekly one-on-one mentor sessions, and two-hour online group sessions once per week. It’s intentionally self-paced, with projects due on a weekly basis.

What is UX/UI?

UX/UI is the field of interface design and engineering. UX refers to user experience, while UI stands for user interface. Both refer to the work behind designing, testing, and enhancing interfaces for everything from websites to mobile or desktop applications.
