Eleven Fifty Academy joins forces with local tech companies who vet our curriculum, hire our grads, and provide weekly workshops to deep dive on individual subjects.
Online students are able to work on projects remotely throughout the course. Instructors are always available for one-on-one meetings or virtual office hours if you need any extra support.
During the first 5 weeks, you will learn about Mobile Devices, Networking, Hardware, Virtualization, Cloud Computing, and Network and Hardware Troubleshooting, which will prepare you for passing the CompTIA A+ 1001 (Core 1) Certification. During this time, you will be interacting with hands-on CompTIA Labs and working with Instructors daily.
During weeks 6-10, you will learn about Operating Systems, Security, Software Troubleshooting, and Operational Procedures, which will prepare you for passing the CompTIA A+ 1002 (Core 2) Certification. This badge will include 4 weeks of direct instruction and 1 week of review. You will continue to interact with hands-on CompTIA Labs and work with the Instructors daily.
In the last phase of this immersive learning experience, you will move beyond the basics and begin to dive deeper into some aspects of networks and some cyber security. You will also begin working toward your CompTIA Network+ certification. In addition, you will gain experience practicing your troubleshooting skills, working on soft skills, and understanding the customer’s perspective. These fundamental skills lead to the entry level career positions in IT.
