Given the COVID-19 pandemic, all Eleven Fifty coding courses are being held online only. Under normal circumstances, classes are held both in-person in our Indianapolis and Fishers campuses and online.

Does Eleven Fifty offer courses year around?

Eleven Fifty’s part-time and full-time bootcamps are offered year-round. Check our calendar for upcoming courses and enrollment deadlines.

What coding courses does Eleven Fifty offer?

Along with introductory free courses, Eleven Fifty offers both web development and software development bootcamps. Both offer a deep dive into coding languages such as HTML, CSS, Python, and Javascript. These courses are great for prospective students interested in a career in data science, web design, or computer programming.

What is the free Intro to Coding course?

Eleven Fifty Academy offers a Free Intro to Coding course to all prospective students. As part of our three-hour free coding classes, students will learn an introduction to programming languages HTML and CSS. These free classes will help you determine which coding language fits your career goals and will also give a rundown of the part- and full-time coding bootcamps available through Eleven Fifty. You’ll learn options for financing, and will come away with an understanding of how our Career Services team helps match students and employers after completion of the program.

Web Development Courses

Are there beginner web dev classes available?

All web development classes at Eleven Fifty are suitable for beginners. Upon enrollment, you’ll receive preparation work that will be due one week prior to your course start date. While you don’t need coding skills to enroll in our programming courses, having a working knowledge of computer systems will be helpful for new students. While some knowledge of web design may be helpful, students will take a deep dive into programming languages such as HTML5, Java, and Python.

What web development course options are offered by Eleven Fifty?

Eleven Fifty’s web development course options include a full-time, 12-week immersive coding course, or part-time programs that last 24 weeks. All courses are being held online until further notice.

What is web development?

Web development is the branch of computer science involved in creating websites and web applications. Students enrolled in the web development course will learn programming languages including HTML, CSS, Java, and Python. There are plenty of great reasons to get into web development: the industry shows excellent growth potential and web developers often have plenty of flexibility in their careers.

Software Development Courses

Are there beginner software development classes available?

The software development course with Eleven Fifty is suitable for beginners without previous programming skills. An interest in computer science and coding is essential, but new coders don’t need prior experience to join either our part- or full-time courses.

The first several weeks of the software development online course will serve as an introduction to programming languages and Microsoft .NET. Students will learn new skills such as how to design algorithms, develop front-end and back-end frameworks, and create web pages using HTML and CSS.

What software development course options are offered by Eleven Fifty?

Prospective students interested in becoming computer programmers can choose between a part-time or full-time learning platform. The part-time course is 24 weeks, with classes held two evenings per week and one or two Saturdays per month. Students in the full-time course will be studying for a solid 12 weeks, with classes every weekday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT.

What is software development?

Software development is the process of creating applications, software, and frameworks. Software engineers are on the cutting edge of computer science, using skills to design interactive and responsive software systems. At Eleven Fifty, students will learn to code within the Microsoft .NET software framework.

Cybersecurity Courses

Are there beginner cybersecurity classes available?

The cybersecurity bootcamp at Eleven Fifty is appropriate for complete beginners: the first five weeks of the program are all about building a foundational skill set, which helps students work toward the CompTIA Network+ certification.

What cybersecurity course options are offered by Eleven Fifty?

Eleven Fifty has a 14-week full-time cybersecurity bootcamp course that offers immersive learning for students. The bootcamp is also available as a part-time course, lasting 24 weeks. Both courses cover the same material, from developing foundational knowledge to building a portfolio and practicing real-world skills by fighting cyberattacks in the cyber range.

What is cybersecurity?

Cybersecurity refers to both network and information security systems that protect individuals and organizations. A cybersecurity professional is responsible for preventing cyberattacks, including building firewalls to fend off malware attacks, creating security plans, and monitoring any suspicious activity.

UX/UI Design Courses

Are there beginner UX/UI classes available?

Eleven Fifty’s UX/UI courses are beginner-friendly, but some knowledge of coding is ideal for prospective students. If you’re interested in UI Design, having a working knowledge of common prototyping platforms is necessary.

What UX/UI courses does Eleven Fifty offer?

The UX/UI course at Eleven Fifty is a flex course, meaning students can go at their own pace throughout the 8-week program. Students should expect 15-25 hours per week of course work learning foundational skills, completing projects, and building a portfolio. There will be weekly one-on-one mentor sessions, and two-hour online group sessions once per week. It’s intentionally self-paced, with projects due on a weekly basis.

What is UX/UI?

UX/UI is the field of interface design and engineering. UX refers to user experience, while UI stands for user interface. Both refer to the work behind designing, testing, and enhancing interfaces for everything from websites to mobile or desktop applications.
